As long as they are the market-leading-mobile-application-distribution-platform they can afford to take that approach, but as competitors arise (Google) they probably have to open up, and hopefully they open up for better statistics making it easier for advertisers, as you, to measure the ROI on their marketing efforts.</description>

		<description>I read your post on a wave of changes with iPhone and Android and points on advertising.  Being an online marketer, I have had alot of success with mobile advertising.  However, marketing iPhone Apps is another story.  Apple has not enabled a way to track marketing ROI.  Very surprising that in today&#039;s age, they would go this route.  There are lots of great iPhone apps, and it seems the only way to market them is through WOM, App Store Review sites, or the App Store itself. he rest of the global online media is disconnected. I am not sure as a developer I would want to invest time and money on developing software for the iphone if I can not market it.</description>
