yahoo launches online poker for real money

Yesterday Yahoo! launched online poker for real money. I think this is huge news in the gaming/gambling industry as one of the worlds largest online company decides to enter a market where the competition is fierce and as it is today have 4 largest poker networks (PokerStars, PartyGaming, Full Tilt Poker and Ongame Network (bwin)) sharing 60-80% of the online poker real money market.

It is both interesting to see how Yahoo with its huge customerbase can create liquidity in the Boss Media Poker Network and also see which markets it will focus on in the future.

I believe Yahoo can be one of the biggest players in online poker if they choose to put focus on it.

Geni Launches new Socianet

I think LinkedIn is a very addicitive and playful implementation of professional social networking

And now Geni launches relation networking. I just started out and I think they have made an excellent job in implementing this, even my not-so-tech-savvy-father and alikes around the world will enjoy and play with this, making this the fastest growing Socianet ever (my prediction).

And the interaction on this socianet is amazing. I do not even remember how I signed up, it was a transparent signup process.

We will hear more from Geni.

I hate the “web 2.0″-thing and like PC Worlds “improved web” better. They have a big article about the better and evolved web that people interested in it should read.
